Meet The Tracking Dogs

What better way to get to know the tracking team than to get to know the tracking dogs themselves? This page is dedicated to the tracking dogs that we so proudly call apart of our team ❤️

TINY

7.5 year old 1/2 Plott Hound 1/2 Great Dane cross

He has a 7 tracking seasons under his belt, with 5 tracking seasons for the general public.

We have been documenting his tracking stats since his second season, and he has a documented 300+ tracks in 5 seasons under his belt, with a 50 percent recovery rate OFF LEAD.

During this season, hunters will notice something very different about Tiny….Tiny lost his left eye during general gun season of 2024, towards the end of season. Yes, he did lose the eye from a buck…but no it does not affect his tracking abilities. We are going to be a little more selective on what tracks we do with him, and its not due to his lack of ability. It is more so due to him missing an eye, he is a VITAL part of our team, our family and we would like to do our best to protect what eye and vision he does have left. 2025/2026 could be his last season tracking for the general public, but we are still very undecided on that at this point.

IZZY

6 year old Catahoula

She has 5 tracking seasons under her belt, but she has had to sit out much of the 2022/2023 season due to complications from an injury she received at the end of the 2021/2022 season.

At the end of the 2021/2022 season, Izzy sustained a fractured front leg on a track from a buck, and will forever have residual effects from it. It does not slow her down but it does cause her some lameness issues after long, difficult days of tracking.

JASMINE

3 year old Bluetick Coonhound

The 2022/2023 season was her first tracking season, and we have to say we were quite impressed with her performance as a puppy. We put a lot of pressure on her to keep up with the “big dogs” on the amount of tracks we took her on and she did just that.

For the 2022/2023 season, Jasmine was on more than half of the 108 tracking calls we went on with Tiny, and she completed them with him, whether they ended in a recovery or not. As a puppy, that is not an easy task. Tiny is a very fast dog and hard to keep up with. We see a very bright future for her in seasons to come!

JAKE

14+ year old Running Walker Hound

This is our third year using Jake as a tracking dog, but we don’t use him for tracking wounded deer. We specifically use Jake for tracking wounded hog.

Jake started off as one of our hog dogs, but we found that he LOVES tracking wounded hogs. He is TRUE TO TRACK, and will stay with one until you call him off.

During the 2022/2023 season, we recovered 100% of our hog tracking calls we were called for with Jake, all ending in recoveries. As of 2023, we’ve only had one call so far, resulting in a still live hog, which is still live and well (back on camera) today.

We do have some young dogs that we are planning to work with for the 2025/206 season, but we also aren’t sure if we are going to run them for the general public for the 2025/2026 season. That is still something we are working on, as the young dogs are still young, in the beginning stages of early training, and have quite a ways to go before season arrives. We will keep everyone updated if we do add new “members” to our tracking team for the 2025/2026 season 🥰
